This page is not all that important.
Thomas is not a headmate or alter, to be clear. Thomas is the name used to refer to the body, the system as a whole, and (most often) the unconscious and subconscious processes of the mind.
We treat him like a kind of pseudo-person because he appears to be a rational agent; he has his own goals, distinct from ours, that we are sometimes not even aware of, that he acts on without our intervention, typically by controlling the course of our thoughts. Thomas is not a sentient person like we are, however; he experiences no stream of consciousness, no awareness.
He's also... very, very stupid at times.
"It" would probably be more accurate than he, but he gives us a headache if we try to use that, so.
We don't expect this to make much sense. Either of us could give further explanation if you'd like, but you needn't worry about it.
